60,000 Miles Service
At Parkway Car Care, we highly recommend following the manufacturer-recommended service schedule. The 60,000-mile service is one of the milestone services recommended by car manufacturers. At this point, your vehicle has likely traveled a substantial number of miles and is probably 3-5 years old, if not older. This is the time for a major checkup and to replace several important components.
The 60k miles service involves numerous inspections to give you a comprehensive view of your vehicle’s condition. Car manufacturers specify extensive inspections to ensure that the car is in prime shape for the years ahead. When you bring your vehicle to our Rowlett auto repair facility for the 60k manufacturer-recommended service, it will undergo:
- Strut or shock absorber inspection
- Oil and filter change (we recommend synthetic oil for most vehicles)
- Brake fluid replacement
- Steering component inspection
- Visual inspection of the brakes, hoses, and belts
- Engine coolant replacement
- Cabin air filter replacement
- Transmission fluid replacement
- Spark plug replacement
- Tire rotation
- Timing belt replacement (if applicable)
- Engine air filter replacement
- Check for any fluid leaks
- Manufacturer-recommended safety inspection
This list is somewhat generic – we will always review the past service history of your vehicle (if it has been serviced with us) as well as manufacturer recommendations specific to your vehicle’s make and model. The 60K service allows our ASE-certified technicians to inspect your vehicle and identify any potential issues so they can be addressed early.
We will also check for any manufacturer recall notifications – if your vehicle has any recall items, we’ll inform you so you can get them repaired free of charge at the dealership.
A 60k mile inspection is essential for the overall health of your vehicle. We offer convenient online appointments on our website, or you can call the shop directly.
